Institute seeks Faculty Fellow to lead mentor program

The University Institute for Teaching and Learning is currently seeking a Faculty Fellow for Instructional Support to join a team of faculty and staff educational developers committed to elevating teaching and learning at The Ohio State University.

The Faculty Fellow will contribute to the instructional support mission of UITL, lead our Mentor Program and support its assessment, as well as help shape the future direction of UITL programming for new faculty.

The fellow position is 25% FTE based on current faculty appointment, and most of the responsibilities will involve leading mentoring initiatives and recruiting faculty known for their exemplary teaching for roles as mentors. The fellow will lead orientation meetings for new mentors and recruit new-to-Ohio State faculty to become mentees in the program.

The full position description is now available. Faculty interested in serving as the UITL Faculty Fellow should submit a CV and letter of interest that describes relevant mentoring of and experience working with junior colleagues, as well as the names and contact information of two references familiar with their mentoring, to UITL Director Kay Halasek at uitl@osu.edu by Wednesday, April 3.
