Assessment for Learning Workshop Series a Success

During the spring 2023 term, the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning was pleased to offer a collection of four, online workshops as part of our Assessment for Learning Workshop Series, facilitated by, and featuring the work and expertise of, several Drake Institute Affiliates. The Institute would like to recognize and formally thank Affiliates Jane Hammons, MA, MS, MLIS (University Libraries), Nicholas Denton, PhD (Pharmacy), Joni Tornwall, PhD, RN, ANEF (Nursing), Sarah Rusnak, MS, RD, LD (Health and Rehabilitation Sciences), and Lisa Cravens-Brown, PhD (Psychology) for their outstanding contributions to this element of our spring 2023 term programming. These workshops, addressing topics of student prior knowledge, assessment in flipped learning environments, effective peer feedback, and rubric design and implementation, served to promote excellence in teaching for more than 90 instructors at Ohio State. The Drake Institute is sincerely appreciative of the contributions of these individuals, as well as the ongoing support of our more than 40 Institute Affiliates, as they collectively work to advance the Institute’s mission to, in part, provide programs and services that cultivate teaching excellence among all who teach and support instruction at the university.
