The UITL Teaching Support Program will continue into the 2019-20 academic year. Compensation-eligible instructors who have not yet completed the Teaching Practices Inventory, Teaching@OhioState online modules, and the UITL Reading List reflection still have the opportunity to do so. The University Institute for Teaching and Learning (UITL) and its partner, Universities Libraries, are pleased to announce a new Teaching Endorsement on Meaningful Inquiry. While earning this endorsement, faculty, staff, and GTAs will consider practical strategies for addressing racial and social class achievement gaps by designing meaningful and equitable research assignments. The Meaningful Inquiry Teaching Endorsement requires completion of a workshop series, the first of which will be offered Aug. 12 to 14. Those who complete the series will also be eligible for a Meaningful Inquiry grant.
As of June 15, nearly 2,700 Ohio State University instructors have completed at least one part of the University Institute for Teaching and Learning’s Teaching Support Program launched in the autumn semester 2018. That’s over 53% of those eligible.
