New Faculty? Build Knowledge and Community with FIT Mentoring Program

The Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning invites new faculty to participate in the upcoming cohort of the New Faculty Foundation, Impact, Transformation (FIT) Mentoring Program – a signature program designed to support early teaching success and foster community at Ohio State.

Since its launch in 2016, FIT has helped new faculty build strong foundations in teaching through meaningful connections and collaborative learning. Participants are grouped into small interdisciplinary cohorts and matched with a seasoned faculty mentor who is recognized for excellence in teaching and mentorship.

Faculty FIT cohorts meet five times throughout the academic year, with the option to schedule additional gatherings based on interest and availability. These sessions offer space for reflection, exchange of ideas, and practical guidance on teaching in a supportive and collegial environment. Faculty who complete the program earn the New Faculty FIT Teaching Endorsement, a credential that highlights their commitment to professional development in teaching.

If you’re ready to join this year’s cohort, complete your registration by Friday, September 5, 2025.
