Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Academy of Teaching Conference

Mark your calendar for the annual Academy of Teaching Conference, to be held at the Blackwell Inn and Conference Center on Monday, May 11, 2026. Keep an eye on this page for registration information.

The 2026 theme is "Teaching and Learning Amid Shifting Landscapes." Changing regulations, laws and technologies are continually shifting the ways that we teach and learn, reshaping how we design courses, deliver content and engage our students. While these shifts present challenges, they also create opportunity. As shifting political and technological terrain pushes us to adapt our teaching methods, we can ensure that our instruction remains relevant and responsive to our students' needs, preparing them to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our work in education is not just about keeping pace with the array of changes we face, but about excelling through what may be uncharted territory to enhance our mission—and to improve outcomes for our learners and ourselves.

Proposals on this year's theme will be accepted through January 23.
