The Michael V. Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning invites instructors with upcoming teaching commitments to join a community of practice focused on contemplative pedagogies to commence on Monday, July 6, and run through Friday, Aug. 14.
Prospective participants should have a teaching commitment either in the Autumn of 2020 or Spring of 2021.

The 2020 SciAccess Conference , a free, all-day webinar dedicated to promoting disability inclusion in astronomy and STEM, will take place on June 29, 2020. This virtual event will feature keynote speaker Soyeon Yi, the first and only astronaut from South Korea, in addition to scientists and engineers with disabilities who will share their experiences in STEM. On a historic day in which The Ohio State University Board of Trustees honored the outgoing president and introduced his successor, the trustees approved a resolution changing the name of the institute to the Michael V. Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning.

Congratulations to the many Ohio State faculty who have participated in UITL’s Teaching Support Program (TSP) in the past two years. More than 3,500 full- and part-time faculty have completed at least one component of the TSP, making it one of the most comprehensive teaching excellence programs in higher education.
Approximately 83% of full-time faculty in undergraduate-serving colleges have participated in the TSP, exceeding the university's 70% goal.
