All who teach at Ohio State are invited to join the Drake Institute this December for an in-person Immersive Active Learning Workshop, a new pathway toward eligibility for the Foundations of Active Learning Teaching Endorsement. Across three half-day sessions, you’ll hear about common active learning strategies, experience what it’s like to be a student in an active learning environment, explore using technology for active learning, and practice techniques with other instructors. Get a sense of which strategies work best for you, ask questions, and leave with six templates for planning specific active learning strategies for your next course.
All sessions will be held on the Columbus campus, with each day's content and activities building upon learning from the prior session(s).
- Wednesday, December 10 from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in Sullivant Hall 141 (Collaboratory)
- Thursday, December 11 from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in Sullivant Hall 141 (Collaboratory)
- Friday, December 12 from noon - 3:30 p.m. in Derby Hall (multiple rooms)
