In support of The Ohio State University's recently announced AI Fluency initiative, university leaders are partnering with Google to host an event dedicated to advancing the role and impact of AI in higher education. Designed for educators, researchers, and AI enthusiasts, Google Public Sector's Data and AI Day offers a unique opportunity to connect with and learn from industry experts and colleagues across campus. Together, participants will dive into real-world applications for addressing challenges in higher education, innovative practices for enhancing operations and student outcomes, and actionable strategies for integrating AI in learning environments.
The event will also serve as the official launch of Google Productivity tools at Ohio State, featuring an overview of Google Cloud, solution deep dives, and real-world use cases — all tailored to the university’s needs. Instructors can dive into AI tools for the classroom and for research with a hands-on crash course on Gemini for Education and NotebookLM.

Join us for this transformative event on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Ohio Stadium. The agenda for the afternoon includes a welcome from Executive Vice President and Provost Ravi V. Bellamkonda, a keynote from Google Public Sector CTO Charles Elliot, two breakout sessions with tracks for researchers and educators, and a closing reception with beverages and hors d'oeuvres.
