Teaching AI Fluency with Authenticity and Vulnerability: Engaging with AI Tools

Date
April 15, 2026 | 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Location

Description

Ohio State’s AI Fluency initiative opens new opportunities for educators to make a significant impact on student learning. However, teaching with AI can also create feelings of vulnerability or anxiety in instructors. Learning about the capabilities and constraints of different AI tools requires time to explore and practice. In this interactive presentation offered by facilitators from University Libraries, participants will have the chance to see different AI tools in action, practice using them in a supportive environment, and ask questions. The session will help participants to generate ideas for different ways that they might be able to incorporate AI into their teaching practices.

After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • practice using different AI tools available to Ohio State instructors and students
  • explore ideas for incorporating AI into teaching practices
