Ruonan Yang (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in the Multilingual Language Education program. Her research focuses on technology-enhanced and AI-assisted education, with particular interests in digital multimodal composing (DMC), generative AI in second language writing, and AI-supported language assessment.
 
Ruonan has experience teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in K–12 settings and serving as an independent instructor for academic English writing in higher education. She is committed to empowering students by helping them recognize and draw on their linguistic and cultural resources as they develop their language skills.
