Walker Ballard

Walker Ballard (he/him) is a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Studies at The Ohio State University, where his research focuses on democratic education and educational ethics in international and comparative contexts. His work bridges philosophical inquiry and classroom practice, exploring how educators navigate questions of justice, identity, and care in their teaching.

As an instructor, Walker has taught several undergraduate courses in educational philosophy, history, and sociology, and previously taught public middle school band in North Carolina. As a Graduate Instructional Consultant, he continues to support instructors across disciplines in developing reflective teaching practices. In his free time, he enjoys playing piano, songwriting, and being a dad.
