Larry Hurtubise, M.A., PhD is the Drake Institute's curriculum and instruction consultant. He serves as a consultant to faculty teams, programs, departments, and units as they re-envision and refine curricula or develop new curricula. He received his doctorate instruction at Ohio University where he is studied the professional identity formation of clinician educators.
After receiving a Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University, Larry provided consultations and professional development for faculty in the Health Sciences as they developed online and blended courses. More recently his work has focused on providing programs to develop skills in teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning for the purpose of enhancing health professions education. He is a past member of the College of Medicine’s Faculty Advancement Mentoring and Engagement executive board as well as the College of Education and Human Ecology alumni board.
His other research interests include instructional design, interprofessional education, mentoring, and online faculty communities of practice.
