Presenting and Publishing your Innovations in Teaching

In this workshop, we will delve into opportunities and concepts for engaging in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) at The Ohio State University. Participants will be introduced to valuable information and resources for presenting and publishing scholarly work in education.

After this workshop participants will be able to:

• define and distinguish between Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and Discipline-Based Education Research, recognizing their importance in enhancing teaching practices and contributing to educational research
• consider their own engagement in SoTL or DBER at Ohio State
• identify resources and support available at Ohio State for engaging in SoTL and DBER
