Description

During this workshop participants will consider their own engagement in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) or Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) at Ohio State. The facilitator will distinguish the differences between SoTL and DBER and help participants identify resources and support available at Ohio State for engaging in SoTL and DBER. 

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • define and distinguish between Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and Discipline-Based Education Research, recognizing their importance in enhancing teaching practices and contributing to educational research
  • consider their own engagement in SoTL or DBER at Ohio State
  • identify resources and support available at Ohio State for engaging in SoTL and DBER
