In this workshop, participants will be guided through a structured process designed to support effective planning for engaging students in active learning throughout the upcoming term using evidence-based strategies. This session is intended for anyone who will serve in a teaching role during the upcoming academic year. Please come with a course, module, or topic in mind and plan to leave the session with a new plan for engaging your students in the learning process.
After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:
- identify a variety of evidence-based strategies that engage students in the learning process
- plan the integration of one or more new active learning strategies into instruction
