During this interactive session, participants will learn the steps that are involved in writing effective multiple-choice questions including aligning questions with clearly written learning objectives and determining the level of learning examined by individual questions. Participants will also get an opportunity to practice writing and get feedback on MCQs.

After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • describe the components of a well-written multiple-choice question
  • discuss test wiseness and the limitations of poorly written questions
  • write effective multiple-choice questions
