Providing feedback is a foundational skill for clinician educators, helping them foster a culture of continuous improvement and patient- care excellence. During this hands-on workshop, participants will discuss the experiential learning model and learn about an evidence-based feedback strategy. Participants will also discuss providing feedback in real-world clinical teaching scenarios.
After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:
- consider the Experiential Learning cycle when planning to provide feedback
- develop a plan to provide feedback based on the SPIKES model
- analyze the factors that contribute to providing effective feedback
- provide feedback to learners in a variety of contexts
