Description

This interactive workshop will equip all who teach with the practical skills to transform their courses by integrating experiential learning that moves students beyond passive knowledge absorption to enhancing real-world problem-solving skills. Participants will actively analyze existing course structures, explore experiential learning strategies like simulations, service-learning, and internships  and then plan for experiential activities and assessment strategies they can implement in their own courses.

Following this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • describe the benefits of experiential learning
  • design at least one high-impact experiential learning activity
  • identify authentic assessment strategies that measure student learning and skills development within an experiential context
