Simulation is a cornerstone of clinical education for future and current healthcare professionals. Simulation centers safely develop competent, caring healthcare professionals who have the skills necessary to provide high-quality care. During this tour of the Clinical Education and Assessment Center, participants will learn about the efficacy of simulation-based training and the resources available at the Ohio State University. 

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • define the educational benefits of common simulation-based education and assessment strategies for aspiring health care professionals
  • describe the resources that are available through the Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center  
  • select simulation-based strategies that could be used in their own teaching and learning context
