Ben McCorkle teaches courses in composition, rhetoric, and digital media studies, primarily on The Ohio State University’s Marion campus. McCorkle is the author of the book Rhetorical Delivery as Technological Discourse: A Cross-Historical Study and co-author of the online monograph 100 Years of Digital Media Pedagogy, as well as several articles in publications including Computers and Composition Online, Rhetoric Society Quarterly and Composition StudiesHe is currently co-director of the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives (DALN), an online repository of individuals’ personal experiences of literacy and learning with international reach.

Dr. McCorkle serves on multiple committees including the OSU Marion Steering Committee and the OSU Academy of Teaching Executive Council, and he serves as Instructor of Record in the Pride and Life Skills (PALS) Mentoring Partnership Program. He is a recipient of the OSU Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.
