Curricular development is a complex faculty-driven process which can begin at the program level or extend across multiple colleges and impact a wide variety of stakeholders. The Institute for Teaching and Learning offers consultations to teams and programs undertaking curricular development projects to ensure the successful completion and implementation. During this interactive session, participants will gain an overview of the curricular design process and hear from faculty, staff, and administrators about successful curriculum design initiatives.

Following this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the common reasons for and goals of curricular design or revision.
  • Describe the curriculum design process.
  • Consider Instructional Redesign as a complementary initiative.
