Hosted by:
The Drake Institute
October 24, 2023 | 11:00am to 12:30pm
Student Alumni Council Room,
Ohio Union (2nd floor)

Perplexed on how to facilitate fair and effective grading in your course? Interested in taking a deeper dive into grading-related topics? Here, we address some of these topics – and put these topics into practice. This workshop introduces participants to skills, strategies, and best practices in facilitating fair and efficient grading. Participants will have the opportunity to practice designing rubrics and developing grading practices in an informal and supportive learning environment with other members of the graduate student community.

As a result of attending GTA Toolkit, participants will:

  • develop confidence in implementing more equitable grading practices
  • utilize rubrics as a transparent and efficient way to provide feedback that can help improve student learning
  • explore different grading practices and structures to help students meet pedagogical aims
