Getting Started with Community Engaged Teaching

Are you interested in taking your teaching beyond the classroom and connecting your students with the real world implications of your course topics? Join the Office of Service-Learning and the ITL for a discussion on how to design a high impact community-engaged or service-learning course!

After this workshop participants will be able to: 

  • Identify the 6 key principles of service-learning/community-engaged teaching.
  • Articulate their "big rock" goal for their students that motivates their interest in using community-engaged pedagogy.
  • Identify the support the Office of Service-Learning provides for their next steps.
