ASC Teaching Forum – Social Annotation: Reading and Thinking Together

Hosted by:
College of Arts and Sciences Office of Distance Education
September 23, 2022 | 12:00pm to 1:30pm

The College of Arts and Sciences Office of Distance Education will host a Teaching Forum to discuss instructional methods and practices related to Social Annotation. Social annotation is a discursive practice in which readers can share their personal thoughts, opinions, and questions regarding specific content with other individuals or groups of individuals within a digital community. Faculty and staff experts from the College of Arts and Sciences will share their experiences with social annotation as an instructional strategy, their ideas about creative use of social annotation tools, and specific techniques to make social annotation an essential part of your synchronous and asynchronous courses.

ASC ODE Teaching Forums are intended to be interactive spaces for instructors to learn from and inspire each other. Please bring your questions and comments about Social Annotation practices in hybrid and online courses to engage the panel and fellow participants.
