Erin Mercurio

Graduate Consultant

Erin Mercurio is a Ph.D. candidate in the Philosphy Department. Her research focuses on questions in the metaphysics and epistemology of intentional objects: On what kinds of things fictional objects are and on whether we can learn something about the world by reading fiction. She is also interested in well-being. In her teaching, Erin works to help her students develop confidence in thinking about abstract concepts and the ability to think clearly and critically about both sides of an argument. She is also learning to teach online, play the guitar, and balance in crow pose.
