Laura Struve (she/hers), PhD, is an Instructional Development Specialist at the Drake Institute. She earned her doctorate in Higher Education Administration with a portfolio in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, Laura taught doctoral students in the Educational Leadership & Policy department at UT Austin. She is a proud alumna of OSU, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology.
Laura supports instructors in their teaching and has a focus on advancing graduate students’ professional development and pedagogical skills. She maintains an active research line and her scholarship has been published in higher education journals such as The Review of Higher Education and the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Her research interests include non-tenure-track faculty and graduate student experiences and how they intersect with issues around equity and inclusion in higher education.
