Ben McCorkle

As a regional faculty member, Ben McCorkle sees in the affiliate position an opportunity to help expand the institute’s mission on my home campus of Marion and across the university more broadly. He has long been driven by an interest in pedagogy and engaging with like-minded educators to explore innovative and effective ways of enhancing teaching practice. Many of the roles he plays at OSU align with this drive: as chair of the Academy of Teaching’s Executive Council, as the Marion Writing Program Administrator, or as a member of a team that developed a writing-focused MOOC. Ultimately, he would like to contribute more in this direction as an affiliate.
