In preparation for the start of the semester, the Just in Time Course Design Institute (JiT CDI) provides evidence based strategies for designing a course to help you get organized and support student learning. In addition to an overview of the course design process, participants will learn about active learning strategies and a variety of university resources that support teaching and learning.

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Describe the backward instructional design process
  • Develop transparent assignments
  • Plan active learning class sessions
  • Find helpful resources
