I'm Teaching but is it Working? Getting Started with Assessing Instructional Design and Redesign

September 22, 2022 | 12:00pm to 1:00pm

As we plan instruction, we think about our learning outcomes, activities, assignments, assessments and content. What we often don’t consider is how we will eventually determine what worked and what didn’t in terms of our selected approaches to teaching. This workshop will provide ideas and strategies to help you get started in more intentionally and effectively assessing the impact of your instructional design and redesign.

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Identify multiple forms of assessment of student learning to understand the impact and effectiveness of instructional practices.
  • Develop a plan for building assessments into a course.
