GTA Toolkit Teaching and Diversity statements

This event is for Graduate Students only.

In this workshop, participants will discuss how to develop teaching and diversity statements for the academic job market. We will explore research-supported best practices to develop these statements. Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA) applicants at any point in the process are encouraged to attend.

After this workshop participants will be able to: 

  • Reflect on the value of teaching and diversity statements.
  • Identify the necessary elements of successful teaching and learning statements.
  • Implement a best-practice aligned approach for organizing teaching and diversity statements.
  • Practice writing their own teaching and diversity statement.
